Pat, Van, Andy, Aaron.
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know until Saturday that Bobby had died. I hope he died peacefully and near the salt air that he loved so much. He was always a great fisherman and always put me to shame when in the same boat. I know you will all miss him-you could always count on him to be ready to "GO". Boys, take care of your mother-and Pat-be strong.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The Bible gives us comfort and hope when it states, "there
is going to be a resurrection."--Acts 24:15

I was fortunate to have been able to call him my other dad!
He wanted us to be strong, work hard, respect others, stand up for what we thought was right, be honest, and, most of all, be good to my other mother -- Pat Horton. When I looked into his eyes I knew what the word respect meant. And I knew he was one I would always respect from the day we met. This was Bobby Horton.
Now I know the respect I owe to him is to do what he desired most -- respect life and don't let anything come between family. And then he'll be happy when we meet again.
I know he was with all of us today and was thankful we learned this lesson as so much of the family gathered in love to celebrate his life and his beautiful journey ahead.
Speaking for myself, Bobby never gave me anything but the best advise. "Something so easy I made so hard to do." As Bobby would have wanted, I will continue to live my life trusting Christ to lead me home.

I have nothing but great memories of great moments with Bobby. He always greeted me with a firm hand and a warm heart. We shared many laughs and positive reflections about life, politics, and family.
He spoke so fondly of my wife, Angelia, and loved her like he'd love his own daughter. And many times, she probably acted like one (and worst yet when she acted like him).
We will never forget our last visit with Pat and Bobby at the coast. Such wonderful memories seeing where he grew up on St. Simons and then circling Jekyl Island. Wonderful lunch at BJs and conversing into the night and day and watching Pat feed the raccoons off the back porch. We were so blessed to have been able to share this time together.
We love you Bobby. We love you Pat. Thanks for sharing your lives -- and your love -- with us.
