Mission Statement

Jerry & Tara Taylor and the Staff of Taylor Funeral Homes consider the practice of funeral service to be a Servant Ministry of the highest calling. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence in service, the compassionate companioning of those we serve, to showing love and caring in all our actions and to the respectful care of those who have died. It is our hope that we may lighten the burden of those who have experienced loss, and help them to grieve well, so they may go on to live well.

"To be living and working in the city we love and to be helping the people of Louisville, Gibson and surrounding areas is a privilege we cherish. My wife, Tara, and I continue to be grateful for the ministry that God has graciously given to us. We will always work hard to earn the trust that the people of Louisville and surrounding area put in the Taylor Funeral Home."

To God be the Glory...

Many attribute success to education, great parenting, mentors, etc. But, nothing is or has been more paramount to the success of Taylor Funeral Homes than the priority of God in our lives. It is in Him that we move, breathe and have our being. We thank God for everyone He has placed in our lives as a foundation: our family, friends, educators and mentors. Understanding this, we dedicate this business to Him and for His glory. Our prayer is that each life we touch brings Him glory and honor forever, and that every family we service will see Christ through us.

A Funeral Director's Prayer

Lord, give me the patience needed to serve everyone as my own;

the wisdom to understand others feelings;

the knowledge to learn as well as to instruct;

the kindness to treat everyone equally at all times;

the strength to endure long hours and hard work;

the desire to serve others as I would my own family;

the humility to accept words of thanks and Praise;

the Compassion to touch another's soul;

the pride and the right to smile when I have served a family well;

and, Lord, most importantly the right to shed an honest tear when my heart is touched;

Lord, make me thankful that I am a Funeral Director.
