I will always remember the laughter and the dedication to serving God that Mr. Davis showed me. I enjoyed our little talks at State Farm and was saddened when my dad called and said he had past. May God bless you and I am sorry for your loss. Ginger Mitchell Weeks

Dear Gloria,
We pray for you and your entire family at this sad, sad time of saying good-bye to the one you love and who loved you so sweetly. Even though we never met David, from across the miles we could feel your love and appreciation for each other. May God wrap you in His great arms of love and care as you remember David and celebrate his life among you. You are loved.

I am so sorry for the loss of David here on earth but know he is in Heaven with Our Lord and Savior. David and my dad Bo Norton can do their wood work again together, course we know that not true but to be reunited with everyone that passed before him must be awesome. Love ya David and give God a great big hug for me till I get there.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gloria and the entire Davis family. We are so sorry for your loss. Although we had only met on a few occasions, I felt like I knew David from all the stories that my sister, Mary Mahoney, and her husband, Bob, had shared with me over the years. They had many good times sitting around the kitchen table telling tales and laughing. They also enjoyed many a meal together., shrimp scampi was mentioned to me often as a favorite. May they be reunited once again with a feast in heaven.

Bro.David was one of a kind. I met him my senior year of high school and most teens don't realize how important it is to have someone to confide in and get real life advice and Bro.David did just that for me! He gave me expert advice on friends and boys and to make decisions that made sense he joked a lot and was serious at the same time, he was more than just a preacher to me he was like a father figure! and I will always cherish our conversations in our little Sunday school class!!! He was a huge blessing to me and I pray I blessed him as well!

Davey, Angel and Matthew and your families may the Lord comfort you and give you His peace for your lose and heavens gain. Someday we will all be together and can celebrate. I know he will be there waiting on us. He was there so many times for us, David, Darby, Russ and me. We probably would not of been in SC if your Dad had not been here. Love you all Aunt Tootie.

We will certainly miss Pastor Davis. The last time we were blessed to have him & his family were just before he became sick. He preached at Homecoming at Langston Baptist Church, Clinton, S C a few years ago. The members loved all the family. We will keep all of you in our prayers at this difficult time.

One of the most amazing people I will ever know. You taught me how to forgive others and myself. I have so many wonderful memories of you and your family at Langston. I trust God will ease your family's hearts during this temporary separation.
Love,
Rhonda and the Humphries family.
