So sorry to hear of this.I've known George for a long time and he was a very nice guy.We used to go listen to him play at the V.F.W. in Sparta,and I went to hear him in Eatonton also.He is going to be greatly missed.

Purkey This poem reminds me of George, I cant even remember him ever being negative in any situation he always had words of wisdom and humor to pick us up in all times and i know he wouldn't want us to grieve even though we do. He is not gone he is only away forever in our memories, his life's song lives on in all of us. My condolences go out to all of the family and know you are all in my prayers.

If you ever met George, you fell in love with George. I will miss him more than words can ever say, I am heartbroken that he is gone. To live on in the hearts of others is not to die. George will live forever in the hearts of anyone that knew him. God bless you cuz. I love you

We became friends in the early '70s when Mr. John opened the store in Union Point. George and I have stayed in contact since then. I'm going to miss our message chats. Play that wonderful music with Neal in heaven my friend. I know you are resting now. I'm praying for your family.

It has been a long time since seeing George, in fact it has probably been 40 years. I remember him as Danny's little brother. Always seemed to be cheerful with a smile and a positive attitude. I know he will be missed. I pray for God's comfort and peace in the midst of your grief. You are in my prayers. I know it is doubly difficulty with Michael's death still fresh but God's love is strong and the love of friends and family will get you through this. Rest in peace George.

I just can't believe you have gone. My heart is truly broken. You were like a brother to me and the loss I feel right now is beyond comprehension. Danny, Ann and Rose--I just can't bare this-it hurts so much...I wish I could be there, but do not think I could make it through the service.....also James is in dialysis 3 days a week. My love and thoughts are with you...as I try to figure out how to move on without knowing George would always be there to make me laugh. We just spoke last month....I love you all.....
