Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mrs. Wynette M. Jersey, 84 of Swainsboro, she died Thursday morning, October 1, 2020 at Pruitt Health Care of Old Capital, Louisville.
A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family with Mr. Jerry Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
A native of Quitman, Mrs. Jersey was the daughter of the late Hightower Morgan and Winnie Edna Chapman Morgan. She was the owner of Pixie Land Daycare for many years. She and her husband Robert (Bob) owned Pixie Land Playground equipment, Grove and Garden Produce stand, and the Jersey flea market in Swainsboro. She was a member of Minton Chapel Church, Kite Ga, and previously attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Swainsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years Robert (Bob) Jersey, a sister and brother in-law Clara and Henderson Walden, and is survived by, sons, Brock (Debbie) Jersey of Newnan, Scott (Andrea) Jersey of Louisville, daughter Kathy (Billy) Hackle of Swainsboro, 5 grandchildren, Morgan Jersey, Deanna Higbe, Chris Taylor, Craig Jersey, and Cindy Jersey, 6 great-grandchildren, a nephew, Cleve Walden, and a niece Beth Price.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the love and care shown to Wynette by Marilyn Dale, and the Pruitt Health Hospice Team.
