Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. William “Bill” McGahee, 73, of Clarks Mill Road, Louisville, who died Monday, February 10, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the chapel at Taylor Funeral Home Louisville with Rev. Myra Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brett Lamar, Glenn Davis, Wayne Mathis, Faye McGahee, L.C. Clark Sr., and Kalein Bryant.
Mr. McGahee was a native of Jefferson county and the son of the late C.Y. McGahee and Evelyn Hadden McGahee. He was a long-time farmer at Bryant Farm and a member of Walden’s United Methodist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George McGahee and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra McGahee of Louisville, daughter, Wanda (Ray) Williford of Louisville, son, Allan (Laurie) McGahee of St. Petersburg, FL, granddaughters, Felicia Williford of Louisville, Hayley Williford & Brett Lamar of Wrens, grandson, Tyler McGahee of St. Petersburg, FL, and great-grandchildren, Brian Joseph Realy, Victoria Realy and Aubrie Realy all of Louisville.
Those desiring, in lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Walden’s United Methodist Church, 1760 Walden Church Rd, Avera, GA 30803, or Duharts Baptist Church, 8078 Clarks Mill Rd, Louisville, GA 30434.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the funeral home.
