Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. Ronald Fay Daughtry, age 79, of Louisville, who died Friday July 17, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.

Graveside inurnment services will be held 10:00 AM Sunday August 9, 2020 in the Cobb Daughtry family cemetery with Mr. Joe Cheeks officiating. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed.  The wearing of face masks is encouraged.

Ronald was born August 12, 1940 in Metter, Georgia the son of the late Oscar Fay (O.F.) Daughtry & Doris Jones Daughtry. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry. Ronald worked many years in the timber industry and had owned and operated North Georgia Land & Timber. He attended Louisville United Methodist Church.

Mr. daughter is survived by his wife Vesenia Silva Daughtry, daughters, Sandi D. Hembree & Scott of Watkinsville, Jenni D. Stewart & Tim of Watkinsville, sisters, Edna D Purvis of Swainsboro, Ann D. Cobb of Louisville, Kathy D. Mahan & Pat of Scottsboro, AL., grandchildren., Taylor Hembree, Megan Reid & Ashley Reid, several nieces, nephews & many friends.
