Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Paul Douglas Price, Sr., age 77 of Calhoun Street Gibson who died Sunday July 17, in the Piedmont University Augusta.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday July 21, 2022, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Homes Gibson with Rev. Ed Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Price, Will Price, Lyle Watkins, Lewis Watkins, Auston Coxwell, and Keith Price.
Mr. Price was born in Augusta but made his home in Gibson for many years. He was a truck driver for 40 years driving for E-Z Go for 25 years and for 15 years driving for F&W. He loved fishing, hunting and cooking but above all love spending time with his family. He was a member of the Gibson Community Church for 40 years and a member of Million Mile Club.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Harold Price, Sr., and Doris Maggie Farrer Price, sons Greg Price and Doug Price, daughter, Angela Coxwell, and is survived by his wife of 59 years Dale Price, daughter, Judy Price, son Chris Price (Jessica) all of Gibson, brother, Harold Price (Laura) of Warrenton, grandchildren, Jared Price (Candice), Will Price (Kaitlin), Lewis Watkins (Brittney), Lyle Watkins (Madeline), Austin Coxwell (Logan), Emily Price, Paige Price, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday July 20, at the funeral home.
