Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Miss Miriam Peebles, age 84 of Gibson, who died Tuesday afternoon, September 29, 2020 in the Summerville University Hospital in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday in the Shepard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson. With Mr. Jerry Taylor and Mr. John H. Peebles III officiating. Burial will follow in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Stapleton.
A native of Jefferson County, Miriam was the daughter of the late John Henry Peebles and Sabie Lee Palmer Peebles. She was a member of Gibson Baptist Church. Her favorite past time was listening to Gospel music. Miriam made her home at the Gibson Health and Rehab for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Hazel P. Irby, and Dahlia P. Haywood, two brothers, John H. Peebles Jr., and Lindy Peebles, and is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her extended family at the Gibson Health and Rehab.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services and immediately following the services Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the love and care shown Miriam while she was a resident at Gibson Health and Rehab.
