Taylor funeral home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Margaret Hartley, age 86 of Spruce Street in Louisville who died Tuesday afternoon June 30, 2020 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Wilson & Rev. Jonathan Melchior officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pryce Waters, Jeff Waters, Thomas Wright, Caleb Wilson, David Watkins & Doug Watkins. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. (Wearing face masks is encouraged.)
A native of Sandersville, Margaret was the daughter of the late Charlie Watkins & Sarah Mae Henson Watkins. She was a graduate of Washington County High School. She retired from Thermo King, was a homemaker and a member of Louisville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Lee Hartley, & a son Hugh Phillips & is survived by daughters and son-in-laws Sue & Charles Padgett of Avera, Linda & Billy Murphy of Baines, Tx, Brenda & Wayne Ash of Martínez, Lynn & Steve Farmer of Macon. Son and Daughter-in-law Mike & Nichole Hartley of Macon, brother Melvin Watkins of Sandersville, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren & lots of great-great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
There will be an open visitation 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday July 3, 2020 at the funeral home with social distancing
