Lanora Hutchinson

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Lanora O. Hutchinson, age 85 of Mimosa Drive Louisville who died Tuesday afternoon, April 14, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.

Graveside services with SOCIAL DISTANCING will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 17, 2020 in the Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. Peter Vermeule, Judge, Anita Thompson & Mr. Jerry Taylor officiating. Services may be viewed live at the Taylor Funeral Homes Facebook page.

Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Dublin to the late Bonnie Ogburn and Delma Coxwell Ogburn. She graduated from Condor High school in Laurens county. Lanora moved to Louisville in 1963. She had worked as a clerk for the city of Louisville from 1979 until 2000. She was a dispatcher for the Louisville Fire Department from 1979 until 2016. She became a Justice of the Peace in 1976 until 1982 when she became a Magistrate Judge and was still serving until her death. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church since 1964 and a member of United Methodist Women and Barwick-Jo Gay Sunday School class.

Mrs. Hutchinson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elmo Hutchinson, brothers, Bonnie Ogburn, James Ogburn, Charlie Ogburn and sister, Kittie Walker. She is survived by her son, Richard & Julie Hutchinson of Louisville, grandson, Richie P. & Sydney Hutchinson of Louisville, sisters, Betty Sprayberry of Douglasville, and Paula Johnson of California.
