Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Judy Marie Vaughn, age 65 of Davisboro who died Monday, February 6, 2023, at Comfort Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wadley.

Funeral services will be held on 2:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2023, in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Duerose Cemetery in Vidette.  Pallbearers will be Kurt Ochsenknecht, Mark Ochsenknecht, Raymond Fortner, Devon Fortner, Seth Phillips, Sam Pemberton.

Judy was born in Edwards Airforce Base in Edwards, CA. to the late Walter Edwin Ochsenknecht and Gracie Lou Ashley Ochsenknecht.

She had worked in the bakery at Ingles in Louisville and the Moxley Shirt factory. She was a member of Josey Baptist Church and loved to bake, crochet and ceramics but her favorite past time was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Vaughn is predeceased by her parents and her husband, James Donald Vaughn, Jr. and a stepdaughter Towanna Hicks.  She is survived by her daughters Amy Phillips (Jason) of Wadley, Laura Eastmead (Eric) of Davisboro, son Allen Vaughn (Timira) of Keysville, grandchildren Amber Wosmek (Douglas), Josh Godowns, Cameron Hicks, Seth Phillips, Ava Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Robert Vaughn, Jr., Madalyn Vaughn, Raven Eastmead, Harley Eastmead, GG Eastmead and one great grandchild, Brothers Karl Ochsenknecht (Melody), Kurt Ochsenknecht (Jackie), Mark Ochsenknecht (Angela), sisters Susan Fortner (Raymond), Kathy Trott (Steve) and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
