Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of John Bales, age 48, of Gibson who died Sunday morning July 2, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 9, at 2:00 pm in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery in Gibson. Pallbearers will be John Bales, Jr., David Triston Bales, Matthew Bales, Bobby Bradford, Steven Bradford, and Neil Scott.
Mr. Bales was a lifelong resident of Gibson, a son of the late David Hugh Bales and Barbara Kitchens Bales. He was a trucker for Bales Express. John loved to fish and hunt but his greatest pass time was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his father, David Hugh Bales, and is survived by his mother, Barbara Kitchens Bales, of Gibson, sons, John Bales, Jr., & Sarah, of Gibson, and Triston Bales & Keelie, of Wrens, brother, David Bales, Jr., of AL., sister, Angela Eugenia Johnson of Augusta, 7 beloved grandchildren, Landon Bales, John Bales, III., Bentley Bales, Ryan Bales, Raven McDuff, Raelynn Bales and Riley Bales, a beloved fur baby Rut Rut, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
The Bales family will receive friends Sunday, July 9, at 12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
