Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Georgia Elizabeth Walden, age 74 of Augusta, who died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, surrounded by her family.

A private inurnment service will be held for the family in the Gibson City Cemetery.

A native of Gibson, Miss Walden was the daughter of the late Walter Frederick Walden and Sara Jim Quillian Walden. She graduated from Glascock County Consolidated School, attended the University of North Carolina, and earned an associate degree from Emory University. Miss Walden was a Media Specialist for Rollins Elementary in the Richmond County School System from 1971 until she retired in 2004.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, and survived by her brother & sister in-law, Fred Q. & Kay R. Walden of Augusta, nieces, Sara E. Poss, Kathleen M. Walden, great niece, Riley Poss, and great nephew, Jaxon Poss.

Georgia will be missed greatly by her loving family and remembered in their hearts forever.

Family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Gibson United Methodist Church.
