Taylor funeral home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Johnny Eugene (Gene) Hadden, Sr., age 76 of Wadley, who died Thursday evening December 7, 2023, in the Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday December 11, in the Cross Community Church in Louisville with Edward Salter and Brian Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the Josey Baptist Church in Bartow. Pallbearers will be Aaron Morris, Joshua Hadden, Jessie Kea, Foster Brett, Keith Riccitelli, Jamie Wheeler, Bailey Riccitelli, and Ricky Donaldson.
A native of Avera Gene was a son of the late James Albert Hadden & Martha Hastine Huff Hadden Dixion. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Fulghum Industries as a Welder. He had worked as a Diesel Mechanic with Jefferson County Board of Education Bus Department. He was a member of Louisville Church of God. Known to his family as Pop he was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan, but his greatest pastime was spending time with his family.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother JR Hawk and is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Patricia Ann Story Hadden, of Wadley, son, Johnny Eugene Hadden, Jr., (Ginger) of Bartow, daughter Pamela Renee Beecher, (Michael) of Swainsboro, son, Michael Shane Hadden, (Brandee Anderson) of N. Augusta, sister Janice Davis of Augusta, 6 grandchildren, Paige Kea, Aaron Morris, Jessica Brett, Joshua Hadden, Karley Hadden, Kayden Hadden, and 6 great grandchildren, Kayleigh Kea, Jaycee Morris, Hayven Morris, Tatum Morris, Oakley Morris, and Carson Brett.
The Hadden family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday evening December 10, at the Funeral Home
