Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Dorothy M. “Dot” Reese, age 96 of Gibson who died Tuesday morning, December 22, 2020, in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 24, 2020 in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home Gibson with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requires that social distancing, masks, and other safety precautions be followed. Dot was born December 19, 1924 in Mitchell. She was the daughter of the late Tom Griswell and the late Lona Jordan Griswell. She was a member of Gibson United Methodist Church for many years. She retired from the Thomson Company where she was a seamstress for 34 years.

Mrs. Reese was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Allen Reese, grandson, Barry Allen Deal, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Judy Deal (Cary) of Gibson, great grandsons, Cody William Deal, of Warthen, Chance Allen Deal of Sylvania, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be an open visitation 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
