Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Dennis Aaron May, age 64, of Gus Walden Road, Mitchell, who died Wednesday evening May 26, 2021, in University Hospital Augusta.

Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Sunday May 30, 2021, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Kitchens officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mitchell City Cemetery. family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged. A native of Augusta, Dennis was the son of the late Jones “Ben” May and the late Lillie Evelyn May Chalker. He had made his home in Mitchell for many years. Dennis was a retired Mill Right Maintenance Worker with FPL in Augusta.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by long time companion, Angie Henderson of Mitchell, daughter, Iris M. May (Idemaro Dojfantas) of Puerto Rico, son, Jessie May (Racheal Kissah) of Beach Island, SC., grandson, Wyatt May, granddaughters, Diana C. Dojfantas, Branco I. Dojfantas, Veronica Dojfantas, brother, Bubba May (Teresa) of Mitchell, sister, Joan Locklear (Rodger) of Appling, Jesses mother, Terry May of Langley, SC, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The May family will receive friends Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
