Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. Curtis Wilcher, age 89, of Louisville, who died Thursday morning, September 24, 2020, in the University Hospital Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Graveside 10:00 AM Thursday, October 1, 2020 in the Davisboro City Cemetery with Military Honors, and Rev. Jonathan Milchoir officiating. The service will be live streamed on Facebook. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of a face masks is encouraged.
A native of Jefferson County, Mr. Wilcher was a son of the late, Lewis C. Wilcher and Ella Humphrey Wilcher. He was a member of the Louisville First Baptist Church, a Master Mason and member of Blue Mountain Lodge #38 F&AM in Backer City Oregon for over 50 years. Curtis retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife of 38 years Marjorie Elaine Wilcher, Son Sherman Cairns, Brothers Alvoyd Wilcher, and Lewis (LC) Wilcher, Sister Barbara Ann McNeely, Aunt Betty Humprey, Cousin and Best Friend Bobby Boulineau.
Curtis is survived by: Daughter Sherry & Rodney Loennig, of North Powder, OR., Sons, David and Nicole Wilcher of Broadstairs, Kent, England, Paul Wilcher of Louisville, Grandchildren: Noah Tinker and Lisa Loennig Tinker, Aiden Tinker, Cassie Loennig, Chelsey Wilcher, Katie Wilcher, Oliver Wilcher, Kayleigh Wilcher, great-grandson Dylan Ritz, several nieces, nephews & friends.
There will be an open visitation Wednesday September 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
