Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of and funeral services of Chantless L. Wheeler, age 77, of Louisville who died Monday morning October 30, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, in the Louisville Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Underwood officiating, burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Jamie Wheeler, Hutch Wheeler, Tre Wheeler, Ken Watkins, Spike Jones, and Mike Cofer. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ogeechee Valley Country Club.
A native of Kite, Chantless was a son of the late Luther Wheeler and Lizzie Mae Reese Wheeler and had lived most of his life in Louisville. He was a 1964 graduate of Louisville Academy. He was an army veteran and self-employed contractor and a jack of all trades.
Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Wheeler, father in-law, Richard Green, and is survived by his wife Brandy Wheeler, daughters Caroline Grace Wheeler of Louisville and Sherri (Rob) McKiney of East Dublin and a son Chad Wheeler of Warner Robins, a sister Mary (Benji) Leaptrott of Wadley, and a sister-in-law Jeanie Wheeler of Bartow, four grandchildren, mother in-law, Betty Sue Green, of Bartow, brother in-law, Michael Green of Bartow, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
For those desiring, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the education fund for Caroline Grace Wheeler at any Queensborough National Bank.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville.
