Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. Cecil Claude Davis age 87 of West Broad Street Louisville who died Sunday morning October 24, 2021, in the Pruitt Health of Old Capital in Louisville.
Graveside services will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. Randy Adams officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter, Harrill, Hudson Harrill, Wayne Pruitt, John Martin, Max Brayden Harrill, Gerald Davis, Ricky Davis, Johnny Davis, Mark Davis, Allen Davis, Gary Willie, Keith Willie and Parker Harrill,
A native of Bartow, GA, Cecil was the son of the late Elgie L. Davis and Mary Wilkins Davis. He was a graduate of Louisville Academy. Cecil was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a press operator for Lily Tulip and a farmer. He was a member Parker’s United Methodist Church.
Cecil was preceded in death by his brothers Scootch Davis, Herbert Davis and Willard Davis, his sister Jeanette Willie, and his granddaughter Rachael Akridge. He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Davis of Metter, Ga, and Linda Davis Bryant (Mark) of Louisville, his brother J.E. Davis (Frankie) of Louisville and sisters Virginia Davis Pruitt of Freeport, FL and Terisa Hopkins (Lee) of Evans, five grandchildren Natalie Sills, Sara Dampier, Jack Harrill, Alison Bryant and Kalein Bryant, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Taylor Funeral Home Louisville from 6 pm until 8 pm.
