Mr. Carson Levi Downs, age 23, of Augusta, Georgia, died Sunday evening December 31, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024, in the Mitchell Full Gospel Church, with Rev. Chris Williford and Rev. Kyle Downs officiation. Pallbearers will be, Tyler Amerson, Caeden Downs, Will Faulk, Jordan Gill, David Lyons, Jay Richardson, Nathan Tyler, and Nicholas Tyler.  Burial will follow in the Mitchell Full Gospel Church Cemetery.

Carson was born May 15, 2000, in Augusta. He was a 2018 graduate of Glascock County Consolidated School and was a member of Mitchell Full Gospel Church. Carson was loved by all who knew him, he had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor.  His laughs were truly contagious.  From the moment Carson was born his inner light shined brighter than most.  He was beautiful inside and out.  He had a love for music and would spend countless hours getting lost in his tunes.  But most of all he loved his family and friends more than anything.  His special bond with his parents and siblings can never be broken.  If you knew him, you loved him.

Carson was preceded in death by his grandfather Barry Eugene Rosier.  He is survived by his mother, Alexis Rosier Downs (Brantley Campbell), of Augusta, father, Chad Downs (Christy), of Anderson, SC., brother, Talon Downs of Anderson, sisters, Hayleigh Downs (McGinnis) of Evans and Tula Bikas, of Anderson, a nephew Brady Williford, of Evans, grandparents, Rev. Jacky and Kay Downs, of Mitchell, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The Downs family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday January 3, at the funeral home.
