Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Bruce Wendell Hart, age 59 of Gibson who died Thursday September 29, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bruce will be held 3:00 PM Sunday October 2, 2022, in the Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Hadden, Luke Davis, Todd Ivey, Braz Hadden, John Raley and Ulyssee Smith.

A native and lifelong resident of Gibson Bruce was a 1982 graduate of Glascock County High School. While in high school he began working for UPS and retired after more than 20 years of service. He was a Rancher and Farmer with Hadden Ranch and was a longtime member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Bruce is predeceased by his grandparents Wendell and Glenice Hart and Domingus and Mattie Laura Usry and is survived by his parents Warren A. Hart and Zelma Usry Hart, sons Jonathan Hart of Gibson, Sawyer Hart of Gibson, and step daughter Nichollette Deal (Dalton), daughter Leslie Rogers (Josh), Gibson, sister Marsha Hart, Grovetown, Brother Ted Hart (Cindy), Harlem and grandchildren Caroline Thurman, Carter Thurman, and Bentley Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
