Bob Poole Obituary

Taylor Funeral Home Louisville announces the funeral services of Robert L. (Bob) Poole, who passed away peacefully at University Hospital, Augusta on October 2, 2020 at the age of 80.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday October 6, 2020 at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dewey Henderson officiating.

Bob was the son of the late Leonard C. and Doris Garrett Poole. He grew up in Louisville, graduating from Louisville Academy and later Swainsboro Tech. Bob retired after over 33 years with Lanier Business Products. He also served his country in the Georgia National Guard and was on active duty during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. Bob enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR races, and football.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Phyllis Price Poole; sons, Lance (Becky) Poole of Stapleton, Brad (Lisa) Poole of Avera; stepsons, Stan (Nan) Mayo, Jeff (Elizabeth) Porcel, David Porcel; brother, Jim (Elaine) Poole; grandchildren, Tiffany (Todd) Bush, Preston and Krystyn Poole, Lauren Newsome, Cody Arrington; great grandchildren, Bragan, Anna Bell, Tilly Ruth Bush; nephews, Jason (Tonya) Poole, Garrett (Amanda) Poole; niece, Ivy (Shannon) Asmus.
