Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mrs. Billie L. Branum, age 81, of Saint Clair Road, Louisville, who died, Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the University Hospital Augusta.
Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Republican Baptist Church Cemetery. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged.
Billie Branum was born January 23, 1939 in Bee Branch, AR. to the late William Lewallen and the late Pauline Lewallen.
Mrs. Branum and her husband, James Donald “Don” Branum were the founders of Branum’s Sewing and Vacuum Center on Washington Road in Augusta, GA where she worked for 25 years before retiring. She attended Republican Baptist Church in Clarks Hill, SC. for 23 years.
Mrs. Branum was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Donald “Don” Branum, brother, Leon Lewallen, and survived by, daughter, Rebecca L. Davis of Louisville, sons, Steve D. Branum of Oxnard, CA, Mark A. Branum (Linda) of N. Augusta, SC, grandchildren, Brian Whitesides, Jason Whitesides, Greg Whitesides, Christina Whitesides Scott, Billie Ann Branum Blalock, Rachel Branum, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Frances Hancock, brother, Robert Lewallen, several nieces and nephews.
Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville will be in charge of arrangements.
