Betty was born in Metter, GA on October 29, 1931, to the late Henry Grady and Claribell Stills Cassedy. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, brother Paul, sister Sara, and daughter in law Gail. She is survived by 3 sons, Jack Hutcheson, Rick (Fran) Hutcheson, and Jerry (Tracy) Hutcheson, grandchildren Jason (Donna) Hutcheson, Shannon (Jason) Burton, Cassedy (Jeremy) Bennett and Kelley Branan, great grandchildren, Gracie Mullins (Matt), Hailey Powell, David Scurry, Savannah Scurry, Aubrey Branan, Charlie Burton, William Burton, Sara Jane Burton, Kade Lott, Isabella Ross, and Charllee Lott, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She retired from GCCS after many years of service as a ParaPro and working in the office. Betty loved Mt. Nebo Church and its members where she was a member for over 55 years. She also loved the town of Mitchell. She had her “Mitchell sisters”, Daisy Jones, Faye Walden and Betty Pulliam. Her loss will forever leave a hole in the hearts of family members, but knowing she is at peace with her Lord is a consolation to us all.
The family would like to thank the staff at Keysville Nursing Home for the love and care they showed “MeMa”. The family would also like to thank Connie Jackson for her dedicated service to Momma. She loved Momma like we all do, and we are forever grateful for her coming into our lives.
For those desiring in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600 Doylestown, PA 1890 or online at https://www.dementiasociety.org/donate
