Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Barbara Ann Neal, age 82, Old Mitchell Rd. Mitchell, Georgia, who died Wednesday afternoon, December 22, 2021, in the University Hospital, Augusta.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday December 27, 2021, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home Gibson with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchell.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Ralph Neal, Sr., her son James Darrell Neal, a sister, Mary Friedman, and is survived by her son, Dennis Keith (Lyn) Neal of Thomson, her daughter Alisha Neal of Mitchell, brother, Alton Muns of Pooler, Grandchildren, Heather (Aaron) Talbott, of Evans, Morgan Neal & Sarah Neal, all of Mitchell Ashton (Krystal) Neal-Wyatt of Gibson, great grandchildren, Millie, Beckett, Becca & Charlie, several nieces nephews, cousins & friends.

A native of Ellenton, SC., Mrs. Neal was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Muns & Fannie Bell Muns, she was a graduate of Augusta Tech with a degree in Nursing and retired from Doctors Hospital then worked for Gibson Health & Rehab for several years. Barbara served as deputy coroner of Glascock County for several years and was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Gibson.

The family will receive friends following the service Monday at the funeral home.
