Mr. William (Billy) Franklin Davis, Jr., age 65, of 1760 D Ponder Road Bartow, Georgia died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his residence.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 2, in the Old Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Eckles and Rev Randy Mims officiating.
A native of Louisville, Mr. Davis was a son of the late William Franklin Davis, Sr. and Brownie Ivey Davis. He worked with the Jefferson County Commissioners Road Department as a heavy equipment mechanic. Billy was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a deacon.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Mary Virginia (Ginger) Davis of Bartow, two sons Charles Franklin Davis of Cleveland, Ga., and Jonathan S Davis of Bartow, aunt and uncle George and Annette Ivey, Jr. of Kite, Ga., several cousins and many friends.
The Davis family may be contacted at the residence on D Ponder Road in Bartow and will receive friends Monday following the services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorials be made to the Old Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1275 Old Bethel Church Road, Bartow, Ga. 30413 or a charity of your choice.
