Walter Russell Kitchens

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of  Mr. Walter Russell Kitchens, age 71 of Pete Smith Road, Wadley who died Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the University Hospital, Augusta.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, in the Wadley Baptist Church with Rev. Gene McCoy officiating. Pallbearers will be John Cox, Ott Stephens, Mitchell McGraw, Thomas Dye, Pat Bell and Mike Bell. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

A native of Savannah, Mr. Kitchens lived most of his life in Wadley. He was a graduate of Wadley High School, had owned and operated Wrens Auto Parts and Jefferson Small Engine Repair, and was a member of Wadley Baptist Church.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents; George Thomas Kitchens, Sr. and Maggie Reid Kitchens, sister; Elaine Bragg, brothers; C.T. Kitchens and Frankie Kitchens and is survived by his wife of 51 years; Louise Cox Kitchens of Wadley, sister; Marynel Garrett of Bartow, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Kitchens family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, December 22nd at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, anyone desiring to make contributions may make them to the Wadley Baptist Church, 225 North Main Street, Wadley, Georgia 30477.
