Virginia Moore

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Moore, age 80, of Avera, Georgia who died died Thursday evening, June 26, 2014, in the Georgia Regents University Medical Center in Augusta.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 29, 2014 in the Walden's United Methodist Church with Rev. Jacky Downs officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Craig Moore, John Walden, Brandon Walden, Keith Walden, Greg Walden, and Brent English.

A native of Washington County, Virginia was a daughter of the late Arastus and Amilia Johnson. She worked in the textile business as a seamstress and retired from Stapleton Garment Company.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walton Lewis Moore, and son George Walton Moore and is survived by daughters Ellen & Keith Walden of Avera, and Carole Ann Moore of Dearing, son James Edward Moore & Dianne Newsome of Gibson, and five grandchildren: John Walden, Brandon Walden, Shannon Moore, Craig Moore and Mary Moore, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Moore family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
