Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Rev. Vina Mae Josey, age 100, of Bartow, who met Her Lord and Savior face to face Sunday, evening October 5, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the Freedom Fellowship Church Cemetery with her son, Rev. Richard Douglas Josey, and Jerry Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Jody Josey, Ricky Josey, Hunter Josey, Andy Pennington, William Josey, Ronny Josey.

Rev. Vina was born on September 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Ed & Lois Smith. She was the preacher at Freedom Fellowship Church in Bartow for more than 25 years until she was 95. She loved the Lord and witnessed for Him wherever she was.

Rev. Josey was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Bennett Josey, a World War II veteran; her parents; son, Tommy Josey; granddaughter, Jenny Pennington, and nine siblings. She is survived by: son, Rev. Richard (Lisa) Josey; brother, Fred Smith; sister, Mabel Proctor; grandson; Richard "Jody" Josey; great-grandchildren: Richard Josey, III, Andy Pennington, Sara Josey, Katie Toussau, Hunter Josey, Micah Dent, Macye Nolan; great-great-grandchildren: Salem Josey, Madelyn Dent, Brody Toussau and Madison Toussau, Matthew Marolla, Jacob Pennington, Jeselyn Pennington, Jenny Pennington, Thomas Pennington, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Josey family will have a get-together at 5:00 pm at Rev. Vina Mae Josey's residence for anybody who would like to come and visit. If you have any questions, please text or call.
