Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. Anthony Gay "Tony" Pennington, age 69 of St. Clair Road Louisville who died Thursday September 1, 2022.

A native of Louisville Tony was a son of the late Fred & Jean Pennington. He retired after more than 30 years in Forestry and had worked with his father with Pennington and Son Inc. He was a long-time member of Louisville First Baptist where he had served as a Deacon.

Mr. Pennington was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by sons, Taylor & Lindsey Pennington of Statesboro, Tucker & Kayla Pennington of Waynesboro, companion, Becky Davis of Louisville, brothers, Fred & Debbie Pennington, of Sandersville, Stevie & Lawana Pennington, of Statesboro, extended family, Brian & Christine Whitesidses, Jason Whitesides, Greg & Jan Whitesides, Christina & Jason Scott all of Louisville, 11 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Funeral services to honor the Life of Tony will be held 2:00 PM Sunday September 4, 2022, in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Rev. Johnathan Melchior officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Whitesides, Jason Scott, Carson Hayes, Jackson Whitesides, Matthew Whitesides and Steve Pickard.

The Pennington family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Louisville First Baptist Church.
