Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Timothy Emanuel Moore Sr. age 75 of Wadley and Rainbow City, AL., who died Tuesday evening April 14, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday April 19, 2026, in the Saint John’s Methodist Church in Wadley with Reverend Chad Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Moore, Jodi Powell, Mitch Powell, Chris Adams, Ronnie Hickox and Caleb Torres
Mr. Moore was a native of Wadley son of the late James Layton Moore and Jeanette Price Moore. He was a 1968 graduate of Wadley High School and was a lifelong trucker. Most recently working with Farmer’s Gin & Storage and was a member of Saint John’s Methodist church. He was a man who truly loved the simple and meaningful things in life-his family, his farm, and his cows. The farm was more than just work to him-it was his peace, his pride, and a reflection of the life he built with dedication and love. He had a special talent when it came to farm equipment. If something was running too smoothly, chances were he’d find a way to “fix” it until it wasn’t. Around the farm, it became a running joke that any piece of equipment he touched might just end up torn up, but somehow he always had a story, a reason, and a grin to go with it. Those moments, full of laughter and his stubborn confidence, are some of the memories his family will forever cherish. His strength, humor, and the love he poured into his family and farm will continue to live on in all of us.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bill Moore, Rick Moore, Joe Moore, Leniece Hickox, Barbara Powell, Norma Moore and is survived by his wife Sherry Moore of Rainbow City Alabama, son’s Tim Moore (Alice) of Wadley, Layton “Brent” Moore (Megan) of Rainbow City AL, daughter Jennifer Powell (Marc) of Gadsden AL, sister Debra Adams (Joe) of Vidalia, grandchildren Sam Moore, Tre Moore, Malana Jayne Moore, Jack Moore, Merritt Moore, and Mason Powell. Several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday evening April 18th at the funeral home.
