Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Sidney D. Swint, age 68, of Gibson, who died Monday morning, April 7, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 12, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home Gibson with Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Gibson, Sidney was a son of the late Oswell Swint and Deanie Swint. He was a graduate of Warren County High School, was a retired truck driver, and had worked with B&H Trucking and Advanced Trucking for more than 30 years.

Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roger Swint; sister, Bobbie Massey; and his stepson, Nicholas Shane Tarnow. He is survived by his wife, Linda Swint; brother, Lewis Swint (Gwen); stepsons, Christopher A. Tarnow and Jeffery D. Davis - all of Gibson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery fund 290 Swint Road Gibson, GA 30810.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
