Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and memorial services of Mrs. Sharon Berry, age 70, of Gibson who died November 07, 2022, at her home.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating.

A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Berry spent most of her life in Gibson.  She was a daughter of William Erasmus Kennedy and Helen Rawlins Kennedy. Mrs. Berry graduated with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and was a sales manager at Macy's Department store.  She attended Friendship Baptist Church.

Sharon is predeceased by her parents and a husband, Joel B. Akins and is survived by her husband Clarence Berry, Jr. of Gibson, and daughters Breena Tice (Jason) of Harlem and Tamara Swartz (Chris) of Harlem, grandchildren Claire Tice, Annalee Raley, LeDoux Raley, Maggie Swartz, Abby Swartz, and Andrew Swartz.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service Saturday, November 07, 2022, at the church.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 6825 Old Mitchell Rd.,  Mitchell, Ga.  30810
