Mr. Roy Kelley, age 73 of Highway 171 Mitchell, Georgia died Friday July 5, 2013.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday July 8, in Jordan Chapel with Rev. David Jones & Rev. Ronnie Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Rabun, Charles Roberts, Sr., Jackie Haywood, Jeremy Kelley, Anthony Kelley, Greg Kelley, Scott Kelley & Chris Kelley.
Mr. Kelley was a native of Grange a son of the late James & Marie Kitchens Kelley. He retired from Thermo King in Louisville after 34 years of service as a tool & die maker.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruby Kelley and is survived by: wife of 50 years Betty Jean Kelley of Mitchell, daughter Sandra (James) Peebles of Stapleton, sons, Robert Kelley of Mitchell, Eddie (Michelle) Kelley of Mitchell, sisters, Geneva (Terry) Redfern of Gibson, Eva Chalker of Gibson, brothers, Ralph (Hazel) Kelley, Jimmy (Frances) Kelley of Mitchell, Jerry (Nicki) Kelley of Gibson, 12 nieces & nephews.
The Kelley family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday July 7 at the funeral home.
Sheppard Funeral Home, 57 College Place , Gibson, is in charge of arrangements.
