SARDIS - Mr. Roger "Bubba" Howard, age 54 of Sardis, Georgia died Saturday evening, February 27, 2016 in the Burke Medical Center in Waynesboro. Gravesides services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Girard with Rev. Randy Walden officiating. Pallbearers will be: Cody Howard, Rusty Smith, Johnathan Gossett, Jerry Johnson, Daniel Combs and Steve McCoy. Bubba was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was a talented woodworker, and most of all, loved spending time with his family and friends. Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Emmett E. Howard and is survived by his mother, Mary Godbee Howard of Sardis, sisters, Joy L. Royal of Sardis, and Sandy & Rev. Randy Walden of Louisville, brothers, Don Howard of Martinez, Brandon Howard of Martinez, Steven Howard of Louisville, and Jeremy Howard of Sardis, several nieces & nephews. The Howard family will receive friends 12:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service in the Bethlehem Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, family respectfully request memorials be made to Taylor Funeral Home. Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Care 842 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, is in charge of arrangements.
