Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. Richard "Ricky" Samuel Green, age 57 of Bartow, Georgia, who died Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Dr. James T. Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in the Moxley United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Larry Rhodes, Barry Cohen, Al McNeely, Brandon Green, Keith Hagen and Micah McNeely. Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Jefferson Energy Cooperative.
A native of Louisville, Ricky was a son of the late Samuel and Rilla York Green. He was a warehouse manager for Jefferson Energy in Thomson and a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents and Aunt and Uncle Corrine and Orrin McNeely and is survived by his wife Betty Sue Deen Green of Bartow, daughter Brandy and Chantless Wheeler of Louisville, son Michael Green of Bartow, brothers Orren Green of Rincon, James Green of Springfield, and Rodney Green of Louisville, mother-in-law Mary Eva Deen of Louisville, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Green family may be contacted at 201 W 7th Street in Louisville and will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
