Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Randall Lester Jones, age 77, of Wadley who died Wednesday morning May 15, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 17, 2024, in the Wadley Baptist Church with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Wadley City Cemetery. Proudly serving as Pallbearers are Bryant Partridge, Grayson Maxwell, Rodney Mays, Brent Dye, Bruce Dye, and Ed Rabun. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Wadley Baptist Church.

Randall was very civic-minded, dedicating much of his personal time to the local Lions Club, serving as a Men's Sunday School Teacher, brotherhood director and Deacon at Wadley Baptist Church where he was a faithful member for over 51 years. He served on The Wadley City Council for 18 years. Mr. Randall was known as the "Woodmen Man" and had worked for Woodmen Life Insurance Company for 34 years. For the past 14 years Randall was an associate of Taylor Funeral Home. Randall was generous to a fault and offered help to anyone who was in need, whether it be monetary, a prayer, lending a helping hand, or just an ear to listen. Service to others has always been Randall's primary focus. His community has greatly benefited from his efforts, and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lester Jones, Sr., & Ruby Randall Jones, brothers, Herman Jones, & Wiley Jones, sister Martha Dean Downg and is survived by beloved wife of 51 years Sandra Jones of Wadley, daughters & sons in-law, Melisa & Jeff Partridge of Wadley, Kasey & Kevin Maxwell of Louisville, beloved grandchildren, Bryant Partridge, Grayson Maxwell, & Ella Kay Maxwell, brother Ray Jones, sister Hazel Pogue, several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wadley Baptist Church P. O. 759 Wadley, GA 30477.

The Jones family will be at the residence on West Calhoun Street in Wadley and will receive friends at the Church one hour before services on Friday.
