Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Ralph Hartley, age 94 of Highway 171 N. Louisville, who died Sunday evening, September 24, 2017 in the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home in Augusta.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Louisville.  Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Nolan Fulghum, Jonathan Fulghum, Kevin Harris, Stephen Brown, William Hadden and Mitchell McGraw.

Ralph was a native of Langley, SC, but had lived in Louisville for many years. He was a son of the late Arlie Lawson Hartely and Lorene West Hartley. Ralph served in the United States Army during WWII, had been an electrician for over 40 years and was employed by Plant Vogtle. He was a farmer, a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and a member of the IBEW Local 1579.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Kimball Hartley; parents; sisters, Christine Thomas and Sue Wells and is survived by his daughter, Cynthia and Kenneth Wheatley of Louisville; son, Edwin and Barbara Hartley of Louisville; daughter, Marie Fordham and Spud of Louisville; grandchildren: Stacy Wheatley, Memori Wheatley, Nolan Fulghum, Jonathan Fulghum; great granddaughter, Memphis Miller; step-grandchildren, Donald Weatherford, Teresa Stephens, Crystal Stephenson and Brandie Allen; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Hartley family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the funeral home.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
