Louisville - Mr. Philip C. "Phil" Hancock, age 46, of McCoy Road, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011, in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Lail and Rev. Elmer Caraway officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot of Midville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Young, Bubba Stavely, Gary Hughes, Ted Spence, J.B. Meritt, Chuck Cornwell, Jacob McBride, and Wallace Lail. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Jefferson Energy, and the hunting club buddies.
Phil was a native and lifelong resident of Louisville. He was a 1984 graduate of Jefferson County High School, was employed with Jefferson Energy as a warehouse clerk, and was an avid hunter.
Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by his father: Richard P. Hancock; grandfathers: J. B. Wasden, Jr., and W. B. Hancock; uncle: Carl B. Wasden; and father-in-law; Jimmy Murray; and is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carla Howell Hancock; daughters: Kayci R. Howell and Kelli L. (Jacob McBride) Howell; mother: Elaine W. Youngblood; paternal grandmother: Nell M. Hancock; maternal grandmother: Martha M. Morgan, all of Louisville; mother-in-law: Mary Murray; brother-in-law: Donovan Murray, both of Lyons.
The Hancock family will be at the residence 1118 McCoy Road, Louisville.
