Nell S. (Smith) Wren

September 28, 1927 — January 3, 2014

Mrs. Nell S. Wren, age 86, of Elm Street, Louisville, died Friday evening January 3, 2014, in the Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot of Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chip Clark, Wes Goodwin, Chris Goodwin, Bailey Wren, Ray Clements, Greg Johnson & Bryson Goodwin.

Mrs. Wren was a native of Gough, Georgia, a daughter of the late George C. Smith & Cora Parker Smith. She was a graduate of Louisville Academy and worked many years in the family business, Wren Market and Hardware. Mrs. Wren was a long time member of Louisville United Methodist Church and the Barwick Sunday school class.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Broadus Wren, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Angie C. Wren; and 5 siblings and is survived by son, Barry Wren of Louisville; daughters & sons-in-law,  Patricia Wren Goodwin & Jimmy of Louisville, Dianne Wren Hadden & Ralph Jr. of Gibson; sister in-law, Frances Wren Prescott of Louisville; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & many friends.

The Wren family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00AM Monday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisville United Methodist Church or the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Bartow.
