Nell Hancock

Taylor Funeral Home Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Mary Nell Hancock of Highway 17 South, who died Friday afternoon August 8, 2014.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

A native of Washington County, Nell was a daughter of the late John and Emma Reese McDaniel. She was a retired farmer and homemaker for most of her life and was a member of the Midville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Bruce Hancock, son Rick Hancock and grandson Phil Hancock and is survived by her daughter Miriam Hancock Drew of Jackson, SC,  grandson Thomas Bruce Drew of Aiken, SC, great granddaughters Deanna Drew Brunk of Augusta, GA, and Wrayn Drew Vasser of Aiken, SC and two great–great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorials may be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

The family greatly appreciates Dr. Polhill and staff, Jefferson Hospital including the emergency room, the caretakers:  Annette, Sally Bell, Matty, Mandy Harrison who is the hospice nurse, also Martha and Jimmy Tanner and Barbara Bowles.  We appreciate all you have done for our family.
