Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Nancy A. Mathews, age 71, who died Thursday morning February 15, 2024, at her home in Wadley, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday February 18, 2024, in the Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church in Wadley. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Church Cemetery

Nancy was a native of Dublin, was the only daughter of the late Milledge A. Claxton and Elyce B. Claxton. She had worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and most recently retired from Nutritional Resources in Grovetown. Nancy was a longtime member of Coleman Chapel in Wadley.

Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by daughter, Sandra E. Claxton, Jacqueline V. Mathews & Joseph Taylor, son, James M. Mathews, all of Grovetown, stepson, Bradley Mathews, of Jackson, GA., 2 granddaughters, Erica S. Mathews, of Grovetown, and Isabelle E. Taylor of Evans.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Sunday prior to the funeral services at Coleman Chapel.
