Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Melissa Nan Jackson, age 44 of Wrens, who died Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2026.

A family gathering to honor her life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 7, at the home of Tom and Nancy Auston, 2545 Clarks Mill Road, Louisville.

A native of Louisville, Nan was the daughter of the late Edwin Ellis Salter and Gwen Saunders Pope. She was a graduate of Jefferson County High School, had worked in fast food service, and was a member of Over Coming Ministries Church in Wrens.

Nan was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother, Gwen Saunders Pope; children, Rob Jackson, III of Midville, Jordan Brooks of Sandersville, and Kensley Danford of Augusta; granddaughter, Millie Rose Jackson and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
