Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Mona Chadwick Lightfoot, age 95, of Keysville Nursing Home Keysville, Georgia who died Sunday evening, February 4, 2024, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at Jacksonville City Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC on, February 9, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.  Jerry Taylor will be officiating in addition to family members.

Mrs. Lightfoot was born on August 5, 1928, in Jacksonville, NC to William Clifton Chadwick and Geneva Wood Chadwick.  She was the former wife of George W. Lightfoot, Jr.  She graduated from Jacksonville High School, Jacksonville, NC and attended business college.  She retired from the Veteran's Hospital in Durham, N.C.  She is a member of Stapleton Baptist Church, Stapleton, Georgia.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sons George (Gloria) Lightfoot III, Georgia, John (Elenita) Lightfoot, Virginia and Ronald (Maria) Lightfoot, Mississippi. Her grandchildren include Lanny (Amy) Lightfoot, Michelle (Peyton) Bailey, Shaun Lightfoot. She also had four great grandchildren.

We would like to thank Keysville Nursing Home staff for their loving care during her stay at this excellent facility.

The family will receive friends at the grave side.
