Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Reuben Michael "Mike" Cheeks, age 48 of Kansas City, MO formally of Louisville who died February 20, 2014.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday February 24, in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hibberts & Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Davisboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Raines, Hubert Cheeks, Kenneth Cheeks, Dennis Cheeks, Greg Marsh & Jody Josey.
A native of Louisville, Mike was a son of the late John Thomas Cheeks and Ruby Merritt Cheeks He was a contractor and owner of W.C. Construction and a member of the Central Assembly of God.
He is survived by daughter, Leigh Anne Lindsey of Athens; step-daughter, Holly Oliver, of Kansas City, MO; stepson, Brandon Raines of Kansas City, MO; brother, Joe & Barbara Cheeks of Louisville; sisters, Evelyn & Bob Chisam of Kansas City, MO; and Sue & John Hudson of Martinez; 6 grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
The Cheeks family will be at the home of Joe & Barbara Cheeks 1163 Fairlane Drive in Louisville and will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
