Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mildred "Midge" Williams of Alpharetta, who passed peacefully during the early morning hours of May 6, 2024, at Tybee Island, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13, at 11:00 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with burial following in the Smith family plot in the Louisville City Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
Affectionately known as "Midge" to all her friends and family, Midge was a wonderful teacher and retired from Fulton County Schools. She was beloved by all of her family and constituents and her many friends and neighbors.
Midge was an avid card player. She was a pet lover and had many dogs during her lifetime.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Earl D. Williams in 2005, her parents, William Young Smith and Mary Irene Taylor Smith, brothers Bernard Smith, Hugh Smith, Billy Smith, Marion Smith, Carl Smith and Hoke Smith, her sisters Alberta Park, Jessie Roundtree, Mable Spence, and Helen Smith.
Midge is survived by nieces and nephews William E. Spence (Nita), Carolyn Spence Scott, Ann (Tom) Hastings, Betsy (John) Rabun, Carl W Smith (Charlotte) Martha (Wayne) Mathis, Gail Smith Willem, Jessalyn Smith Stone, and many great nieces and nephews.
