Michael Roy "Mickey" Jones

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Michael Roy "Mickey" Jones, age 74, of old Highway 1, Wadley who died Sunday Morning September 17, in the Jefferson Hospital.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 24, in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, officiating Rev. Larry Fincher, Rev. Bill Thigpen and Mr. Larry Hodges.

Mickey was born in Louisville the son of Roy Jordan Jones and Francis Watkins Jones.  He graduated from Louisville Academy in 1967 and attended University of Georgia graduating from Augusta College with an BBA in accounting.  He was elected as Jefferson County Clerk of Superior Court in 1976 when he was 27 years old and retired after 36 years of service.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by two sons, Jonathan Jones of Wadley and Travis Jones of Decatur, a daughter Sara Jones of Wadley, granddaughter Samantha Jones, and a sister Sherri Handberry (Louie), many lifelong friends.

The Jones family will receive friends following the services Sunday at the funeral home.
