Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mr. Michael Ray Edwards, age 57, of Steephollow Rd. of Gibson who died Friday evening, December 27, 2019 in the University Hospital of Augusta.

Services to celebrate his life will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, December 29, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home Gibson with Rev. W.A. Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.

Mr. Edwards was a native of Savannah, GA, but had lived in Gibson for many years. He was the son of the late Robert Franklin Edwards Sr. and Muriel Chapman Edwards. He was a retired truck driver from Proficient Auto Transport.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by wife, Sherry Miles Edwards of Gibson, son and daughter-in-law, Glenn & Jordan Edwards of Augusta, daughter and son-in-law, Christian & Michael Price Jr. of Riverdale, GA, sisters, Mirrisa Lastinger & Stefani Edwards both of Guyton, GA, brother, Robert Franklin Edwards Jr. of Nevils, GA, granddaughters, Penelope Edwards, Haley Collins, & Whitney Collins, grandsons, Jacob Collins, Jeremy Collins, Michael Collins, & Trey Collins, nephew, Shane Lastinger, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
