Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Mary Godbee Howard, age 81 of Sardis, who died Sunday morning August 21, 2022, in the Keysville Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday August 25, 2022, Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Girard, with Rev. Randy Walden officiating.

Mrs. Howard was a native of Millen, Georgia, and a daughter of Roger Godbee and Sally Royal Godbee.  She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, and she devoted her time to taking care of her family.

Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emmett E. Howard, sons, Roger "Bubba" Howard, Steven Howard, and brother Ernest Godbee.

She is survived by daughters, Joy L. Royal of Sardis, and Sandy & Rev. Randy Walden of Louisville, sons, Don Howard of Harlem, Brandon Howard (Sonia) of Kingston, and Jeremy Howard (Sherry) of Sardis, sisters Alice Jenkins of Sardis, Sally Kren of Illinois, Barbara Jenkins of Girard and Sherry Hunter of Girard, brothers Earl Godbee (Nancy) of Girard, Danny Godbee(Melanie) of Girard and David Godbee (Lisa) of Girard, 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren several nieces & nephews.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
